Second Life

We all know that Second life is now being used by University’s and different groups to provide an online training environment. But, I recently ran across an article that described how a MIT researcher was using a Wii controller within Second Life to create training simulations for power plants, pesticide applicators, and medical device manufactures. So how much longer will it before you logon to Second Life to go to the office instead of driving there in your car?

Web 2.0

I was recently reading about Web 2.0 and its direction when I came across an article that listed 6 predictions. Reading their predictions what they were saying could be said about most new Web approaches.

· Open source will be a driving factor
· Worker will drive the trend within their companies
· If the industry doesn’t drive standards the enterprise will
· People who don’t get it will be left behind
· Web 2.0 is an attitude that will extend past this current trend
· Software will get simpler and more online
